Job Description:
Meet with provider daily to review pre-scheduled appointments
Call back and work up patients for sick visits and well child checks as needed
Obtain vital signs
Obtain medical history
Order any necessary labs and/or screening tools
Reconcile medications Assist providers with care of patients as needed
Immunizations, including documentation in EHR and NCIR
Injections
Breathing treatments
Labs during times that the lab personal are unavailable
Any other care as needed as ordered by the providers
Prepare rooms
Stock supplies
Keep rooms clean throughout the day
Complete appropriate documentation as needed in patient’s medical record, etc.
Contact patient representative with lab results
Call in/order prescriptions as ordered by provider
Send and respond to messages with providers as needed
Qualifications:
One year of clinical experience is a plus
High school degree required
CMA certificate required
Comfortable using EHR and other medical practice/laboratory applications
Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
Appropriate and effective communication and interpersonal skills
Neat, professional appearance
Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
